Uniteens
The Uniteens is a middle school group of children, grades 6th - 8th and ages 11-13, who come together to share in the process of spiritual self-discovery in an environment that is physically and emotionally safe, and honors each individual where they are in their spiritual development. Our local Uniteen chapter is part of the Southwest Regional Uniteens and is officially chartered through the Association of Unity Churches.
What activities are offered:
All Uniteen activities are designed to create a balance of individual study, spiritual lessons, service and fellowship which involve, motivate and stimulate our preteens to be an expression of what they are--Children of God.
Spiritual: Each Sunday a spiritual lesson is offered to assist the preteens in understanding spiritual laws and their practical application to daily life. Time is also spent in prayer and meditation to develop the consciousness of Oneness. These are tools that our Uniteens take with them once they become part of our high school Youth of Unity (YOU) program. The Uniteens may also participate in weekend Unitreats and a 5-day Summer Camp which allow for a deeper exploration of their divine nature through small group workshops and interactions.
Social: Uniteens believe in celebrating life and appreciating the joy of togetherness. Our preteens take an active role in creating fun activities such as lock-ins (over night events at The Center), swim parties, bowling etc. These social experiences provide a loving place to develop healthy friendships, create self-esteem and have a fun time learning and growing with each other.
