Courage

“Sometimes courage is a gentle virtue. We normally think of it in connection with big, heroic events—fires, earthquakes, wars. But the greatest show of courage is the quiet, insistent facing up to the pressures and hardships of trying to live our daily lives in a good, moral way. . .The act of calmly confronting the trials of daily life will never receive any medals, but it can bring the inestimable rewards of satisfaction and happiness.” Fr. Our prayer this week:

Divine Spirit, help me be courageous. Help me to be an example of how to live from one’s heart—even when it is hard. Create in me a sense of peace and calm, and a clear understanding of the right actions I should take. Give me the strength to endure the challenges before me. I envision all people everywhere facing life with undaunted spirits and co-creating a world filled with acts of courage and goodness. And so it is. Amen.
